I’m a serial entrepreneur. I did not choose a straight path in life. I’ve never been afraid to try something new - and not ‘knowing how’ has never stopped me. I’ve bounced around a variety of amazing jobs; art auction houses, large-scale event production, espresso bar, hospitality industry, marketing, an Elvis expert (now there’s a story!), and my brick and mortar boutique, Zingara. I cherish the community and life-long friendships I’ve made along the way.
That winding road led me to create this joyful community. I like to think of it as ‘all roads lead to Zia Finds’. It’s about reinventing, diving in head first and being a work in progress. A space where we share our passion, enthusiasm and inspire one another.
My style evolved from the desire to surround myself with what makes me happy and not cookie cutter. I’m committed to conscious living and promoting Fair Trade principles and I’ve never understood buying mass produced and meaningless home decor stuff to fill space. I’m clearly not a minimalist, and sourcing authentic products that transcend trends is way more interesting and sustainable. Figuring out ways to repurpose, reuse and upcycle fuels my imagination. Shameless plug..I still think I’m dreaming when I see my home on the pages of Justina Blakeney’s New Bohemians Handbook.
Thanks for following along.
xoxo
